Founder Avalon Ffooks began hosting swapping parties at her apartment in West London in 2021. She invited friends to swap their pre-loved and premium fashion items in a party setting, hanging out with like minded people and trading quality branded pieces from the back of the wardrobe for something you might love a little more. The parties were quickly oversubscribed and, following her entrepreneurial muse, she decided to take the concept online. There were three elements that Avalon wanted to preserve that she felt were missing from the second hand fashion reseller platforms:

1. The ease of the swap

2. Safety and security

3. And most importantly, a sense of fun!

These became the founding pillars of the Like To Swap proposition: an app developed by expert designers that’s super easy to use, a service hub where exchanges are inspected and matched, and a community of like minded people who love fashion. She commissioned Anjelica Roselyn to create original artwork to convey the idea of community and fun.
